SENIOR ASSOCIATE: CREDIT FUND @ ELEV8 RECRUITMENT
Our client, a leading impact-focused Private Equity Infrastructure Investment firm, is currently expanding its Credit Fund team and seeking an experienced Senior Associate based in Cape Town. This standout opportunity allows an investment professional to play a pivotal role in structuring and executing complex renewable energy transactions that generate real community impact. You will operate at the intersection of project finance, private equity, and impact investing, managing high-value transactions linked to REIPPPP projects, including Solar, Wind, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). The role involves significant focus on Community Investment Vehicles (CIVs), supporting South Africa’s energy transition while fostering sustainable community ownership structures. Key responsibilities include the origination and structuring of refinancing and credit transactions, building advanced financial models, and leading due diligence workstreams. You will be responsible for preparing investment papers and engaging with key stakeholders such as IPPs, lenders, and industry bodies to ensure successful deal execution from initial pitch to close.
Key Requirements
MBA, CA (SA) or CFA qualification is highly advantageous.
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Project Finance, Infrastructure Private Equity, or Investment Banking.
Proven track record in executing complex transactions within private markets.
Deep understanding of renewable energy technologies, specifically Solar, Wind, and BESS.
Advanced proficiency in financial modelling and quantitative analysis.
Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, deal-driven environment.
Experience in the origination, structuring, and execution of refinancing and structured credit transactions.
Capability to lead commercial and financial due diligence workstreams independently.
Strong skills in preparing and presenting comprehensive investment and credit papers to committees.
Excellent interpersonal skills for engaging with stakeholders, including IPPs, lenders, and industry bodies.
