EGS, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Design Specialist A specializing in 2D and 3D (S3D) Electrical Design for complex nuclear facility projects. This critical role, identified as RFQ 1511, requires substantial expertise in both MicroStation (2D) and Hexagon S3D (3D) platforms. The successful candidate will be based onsite in Aiken, South Carolina, and will play a vital role in designing essential electrical systems. The estimated compensation for this position is $72 per hour, along with a comprehensive full benefits package, reflecting a best-value environment where overall qualifications are assessed based on historical award rates.
Key responsibilities include extensive electrical design tasks such as detailed equipment layout, grounding system design, raceway layout, lighting systems implementation, and the preparation of comprehensive schematics and wiring diagrams. A minimum of 10 years of practical electrical design experience is mandatory. Furthermore, candidates must possess expert working knowledge and ensure adherence to critical industry standards, including NEC (National Electrical Code), NFPA (National Fire Protection Association), NEMA, IEEE, and OSHA regulations. The role also necessitates the ability to perform mandatory field walkdowns as required to ensure design accuracy and feasibility.

Key Requirements
At least 10 years of electrical design experience.
Strong proficiency in 2D MicroStation software.
Expertise in 3D Hexagon S3D design software.
Working knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.

Ability to perform mandatory field walkdowns as needed.
