This is a crucial senior role focused on ensuring the project adheres to all contractual obligations. The assignment is long-term, indicated by a 42-manmonth duration, emphasizing the need for a candidate with extensive experience and deep professional knowledge to navigate complex contract situations inherent in large-scale infrastructure development.
Key responsibilities for this position include guaranteeing full contractual compliance by both the Employer and the Contractor. The expert will be required to evaluate and manage variations, assess associated cost impacts, and handle all claim-related events meticulously. Furthermore, the role involves interpreting intricate contract clauses, proactively supporting risk evaluation, and implementing mitigation strategies to protect project interests. Maintaining a fully auditable documentation system for all claims and potential disputes is paramount to the success of this role. Key Requirements
Possess a Bachelor’s degree with professional registration in Civil Engineering and/or Contract Law.
Hold a Master’s Degree in Engineering (Mandatory).
Minimum 20+ years of relevant experience in contracts and claims management.
Ability to enforce and ensure full contractual compliance by both the Employer and Contractor.
Expertise in evaluating and managing variations, cost impacts, and claim-related events.
Strong ability to interpret contract clauses and provide reliable support for risk evaluation and mitigation.
Proficiency in maintaining a fully auditable documentation system for claims and disputes.
Professional registration in Civil Engineering and/or Contract Law (Preferred).
Proven track record of successful dispute resolution in large international infrastructure projects.
Deep understanding and practical application of standard international contracts, such as FIDIC.
