JAVA APPLICATION ARCHITECT @ DIA SOFTWARE SOLUTIONS
Dia Software Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Java Application Architect for a one-year contract position located in Lansing, MI. This role involves a hybrid work arrangement and offers a possible extension based on performance. The successful candidate will lead the architecture, design, and development of complex computer systems using advanced Java technologies. Responsibilities include reviewing technical designs to ensure compliance with enterprise standards and maintaining technology roadmaps for the supported applications. The position requires a candidate who is deeply familiar with the full software development lifecycle, particularly within a state government context.
The role demands a candidate with at least 15 years of experience and a strong background in Java IDEs such as Eclipse and STS. Technical expertise should encompass logical and physical data modeling using SQL and PL/SQL, as well as hands-on development with Spring/SpringBoot Framework 3.0 and Hibernate/JPA. Experience with modern front-end frameworks like Angular or React is necessary, alongside a solid understanding of JBOSS Enterprise SOA and DevOps container environments. The ideal candidate will have implemented agile development processes including test-driven development and be capable of creating CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps while leveraging cloud technologies like AWS.

15+ years of total professional experience in information technology.
Must have prior State Government experience.
12+ years of experience in architecting and designing complex computer systems using Java.
12+ years of experience reviewing technical designs for enterprise standard maintenance.
10+ years of experience developing systems using Java IDEs like Eclipse or STS.
10+ years of experience in logical and physical data modeling using SQL and PL/SQL.
8+ years of experience in preparing and maintaining technology roadmaps.
8+ years of programming experience using Java JEE Spring/SpringBoot Framework 3.0.
8+ years of development experience using the Hibernate/JPA framework.
5+ years of development experience with Angular, React JS, or JavaScript frameworks.
5+ years of experience in JBOSS Enterprise SOA and DevOps container environments.
5+ years of experience using CMM/CMMI Level 3 methods and practices.
5+ years of experience implementing agile development processes and TDD.
3+ years of experience creating CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
5+ years of experience with cloud technologies, preferably AWS.
