ELECTRICAL PROTECTION ENGINEER @ DECONS ENERGY
Decons Energy is expanding our professional team and is currently seeking an Electrical Protection Engineer to support utility-scale generation, substations, BESS, and advanced microgrids for mission-critical facilities. This role is essential for ensuring the reliability and safety of complex energy infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will focus on protection scheme design and relay coordination for MV/HV systems, contributing to high-reliability energy solutions.
The engineer will be responsible for conducting short circuit and coordination studies using tools like ETAP, SKM, or DIgSILENT. Additional responsibilities include relay configuration, testing, and commissioning, as well as digital substation integration involving SCADA and IEC-61850 protocols. Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
Proven experience in protection scheme design for MV/HV systems.
Proficiency in performing short circuit and coordination studies.
Technical expertise with software such as ETAP, SKM, or DIgSILENT.
Experience in relay configuration, testing, and commissioning.
Knowledge of SCADA systems and digital substation integration.
Familiarity with IEC-61850 protocols and standards.
Experience working with utility-scale generation and BESS infrastructure.
Ability to handle complex, high-reliability energy infrastructure projects.
Strong engineering ownership and problem-solving skills.
