Cube HR Consultant is currently seeking a talented and dedicated Head Pastry Chef to lead the pastry department for a client in Kenya. This is a fantastic opportunity for a pastry professional with a strong background in high-volume environments, such as luxury hotels or busy restaurants. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional creativity, technical skill in pastry arts, and the ability to manage a diverse team to deliver consistent, high-quality results.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily pastry operations, from menu design and cost management to staff training and quality control. Key requirements include at least five years of experience in pastry, with at least two years in a leadership capacity. The role offers a competitive salary range of USD 800 to 1300 per month, along with opportunities for professional development and international career exposure. Key Requirements
Minimum 5 years of progressive pastry experience
2+ years in a leadership / supervisory role
Experience in hotel or high-volume restaurant operations
Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, menu development & cost control
Team leadership and training skills
Degree or diploma in Culinary Arts or Pastry Arts
Expert knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations (HACCP)
Creative mindset with a focus on modern dessert presentation
Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Excellent organizational and time management skills
