The Sr. Contract Management Specialist will be responsible for the development and implementation of governance structures, supporting procedures, and contract and procurement templates. This role involves drafting and negotiating high-level agreements and managing the administration of contracts from award through to close-out, specifically focusing on IT, construction, and general services. The successful candidate will also handle claims and disputes, including the preparation of settlement agreements, ensuring all supply chain functions are managed efficiently from inception to completion. Compensation for this role is set at an hourly rate of $107. The position is based in Oshawa at 1908 Colonel Sam Drive and requires a 100% on-site presence. It is a 12-month contract role with a 35-hour work week. Candidates should possess extensive experience in large infrastructure projects, ideally within government sectors such as transportation or energy. This is a senior-level position requiring a high degree of professionalism and the ability to navigate complex organizational structures while providing expert guidance on procurement modernization and transformation strategies.

Key Requirements

Sound knowledge of Supply Chain functions from cradle to grave. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Senior-level presentation skills and capability to work at all levels. Degree, diploma or certification in law, paralegal, or contract management. Minimum of 10 to 15 years' experience in contract management in a senior capacity. Experience in large infrastructure projects within a government organization. Knowledge of procurement modernization and transformation strategies. Education or experience in business administration. Proficiency in drafting and negotiating complex legal agreements. Ability to manage claims and disputes including drafting settlement agreements.
