Courtyard by Marriott Siliguri is currently seeking a meticulous Laundry Associate to manage the cleaning, maintenance, and distribution of all hotel linens and uniforms. This vital role ensures that the hotel always has a fresh and ample supply of high-quality textiles, directly contributing to guest satisfaction and operational efficiency. The associate will be responsible for the full cycle of laundry processing, including sorting incoming items, operating industrial washing and drying equipment, and meticulous folding and ironing. Candidates must possess a strong understanding of laundry procedures, including handling different types of fabrics and applying appropriate cleaning techniques to maximize linen lifespan and cleanliness. Maintaining a clean and safe working environment within the laundry facility is essential. This position requires physical dexterity and the ability to work swiftly and accurately to meet the hotel's demanding operational schedule in Siliguri, India.
Key Requirements
Sort, wash, dry, and fold all hotel linen, towels, and uniforms.
Operate commercial laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
Monitor washing machine cycles and report malfunctions.
Handle chemical detergents and stain removal agents correctly.
Ensure all laundered items meet quality standards before distribution.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy laundry bags.
Previous experience in a hotel or commercial laundry setting is desirable.
