Cogentcube is looking for a highly skilled C++ Developer with extensive experience in software engineering to join our team. The ideal candidate will have over a decade of proven work experience, specifically in hands-on development and troubleshooting on embedded targets. You will be responsible for designing embedded systems using preemptive, multitasking real-time operating systems and ensuring high-quality software through rigorous peer reviews and defect tracking. This position allows for flexible working arrangements, including onsite, hybrid, or remote options within the United States.
As a core member of the engineering group, you will utilize your deep knowledge of C and C++ to develop complex software solutions while potentially leveraging Python for auxiliary tasks. You must be proficient with software configuration management tools and have a solid grasp of OS coding techniques, IP protocols, and hardware interfaces. In addition to technical proficiency, strong documentation and writing skills are required to maintain clear records of development processes and system architectures. Key Requirements
10+ years proven work experience in software engineering.
BS degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent experience.
Experience in hands-on development and troubleshooting on embedded targets.
Solid programming experience in C and C++ (mandatory).
Proven experience in embedded systems design with multitasking real-time operating systems.
Familiarity with software configuration management tools and defect tracking tools.
Excellent knowledge of OS coding techniques, IP protocols, and interfaces.
Strong documentation and technical writing skills.
Experience with peer review processes.
Proficiency in Python is considered a plus.
Strong understanding of hardware subsystems.
Ability to work effectively in a remote or hybrid environment.
