Cedar School, located in Dubai and known for its philosophy of #SmallSchoolBigHearts, is actively seeking an experienced and dedicated Head of Secondary. This pivotal leadership role involves managing and guiding the school's British Curriculum Secondary phase, specifically overseeing the successful implementation and outcomes of the IGCSE program. The selected candidate will be instrumental in shaping the future of learning at Cedar School, ensuring academic excellence and maintaining a nurturing, safe environment for all students. This position is slated to commence in August 2026, requiring a forward-thinking leader ready to commit to long-term educational strategy and development.
The ideal candidate must possess prior experience within the UAE school system, with specific experience in Dubai being highly advantageous. A robust commitment to student safeguarding and child protection protocols is non-negotiable. Beyond curriculum management and operational oversight, the Head of Secondary will be responsible for leading, motivating, and developing the entire Secondary teaching team, driving strong educational outcomes, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement across the phase. Candidates must demonstrate exceptional leadership capabilities and a proven track record of managing similar educational phases effectively.

Key Requirements
Have UAE school experience (Dubai preferred).
Demonstrate strong leadership capabilities in Secondary education.
Proven experience in managing and achieving successful IGCSE outcomes and provision.
Commit fully to safeguarding and child protection protocols.
Ability to lead the British Curriculum Secondary phase effectively.
Available to start the role in August 2026.
Strong organizational and sophisticated communication skills.
Ability to develop and implement curriculum strategies tailored to the British Curriculum framework.
Proven track record of improving student attainment and overall academic performance.
Skill in managing, mentoring, and motivating the Secondary teaching staff.
