NDT ENGINEER (LEVEL 2–3) @ CBM360TIV – TANZANIA
CBM360TIV – Tanzania is seeking a highly skilled and experienced NDT Engineer (Level 2–3) to join our team in Dar es Salaam. This critical role is dedicated to supporting non-destructive testing operations within the dynamic mining sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for the thorough inspection of specialized mining equipment and various structural components to ensure long-term integrity, precise defect detection, and full compliance with international ISO and ASTM standards. The NDT Engineer will work in close collaboration with on-site maintenance and engineering teams to enhance equipment reliability and overall operational safety. Candidates should possess extensive experience in mining or heavy industrial environments and hold relevant certifications in multiple NDT methods including UT, RT, MT, PT, and VT. Strong analytical skills and the ability to produce detailed technical reports are essential for this position, contributing to the continuous improvement of the facility safety protocols and structural performance.
Key Requirements
Minimum of 3 to 6 years of NDT experience in mining or heavy industry.
Must hold ASNT or ISO 9712 Level 2 or 3 certification.
High proficiency in Ultrasonic Testing (UT) and Radiographic Testing (RT) methods.
Extensive knowledge of Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) and Penetrant Testing (PT).
Experience performing Visual Testing (VT) on industrial components.
Advanced reporting and defect analysis skills.
Fluency in English is mandatory; Swahili proficiency is preferred.
Expertise in ensuring compliance with ISO and ASTM standards.
Proven ability to inspect structural components for integrity and defects.
Collaborative mindset to work with maintenance and engineering teams.
Strong understanding of reliability and safety protocols in a mining environment.
