SENIOR DEVOPS ENGINEER @ BEACON PLACEMENT
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior DevOps Engineer for a 12+ month contract position, with a strong likelihood of extension, supporting a Fortune 500 enterprise environment through our Implementation Partner. This confirmed, budget-approved role requires the successful candidate to be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and automation frameworks within a large-scale enterprise application ecosystem. The role is based in Charlotte, NC, requiring a hybrid presence of 3 days onsite per week.
The ideal candidate will possess 8 or more years of hands-on DevOps and Cloud Engineering expertise, particularly strong in AWS services including EC2, S3, Lambda, and EKS. A deep understanding of CI/CD methodologies and tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Azure DevOps is mandatory. Furthermore, significant experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation, coupled with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, is essential for success in this role. Strong scripting abilities in Python, Bash, or PowerShell are also necessary for automation tasks. Experience supporting complex production environments and managing rigorous release cycles is paramount, along with excellent communication skills for client-facing activities. Prior experience in Financial Services or regulated industries, and familiarity with monitoring tools like Splunk, Datadog, or Prometheus, are preferred.

Key Requirements
Possess 8+ years of hands-on DevOps and Cloud Engineering experience.
Demonstrate strong hands-on experience with core AWS services including EC2, S3, Lambda, and EKS.
