Balbhas is seeking a dedicated Desktop Support Engineer to join our technical team in India, with available positions across Chennai, Coimbatore, and Hosur. The primary responsibility for this role is to provide comprehensive end-to-end support for Windows OS installation, configuration, and troubleshooting for all company endpoints. You will also be responsible for hardware upgrades, repairs, and resolving peripheral issues for desktops and laptops to ensure minimal downtime for our employees. This role requires an immediate joiner who is comfortable working in a general shift environment and can demonstrate strong technical proficiency and problem-solving skills. In addition to hardware and OS support, you will be expected to install and troubleshoot various software applications, with a specific focus on MS Outlook configuration and management. Your responsibilities will extend to supporting network devices, including VPN configuration and LAN/WAN connectivity troubleshooting. A solid understanding of Active Directory for user creation, group management, and password resets is essential. You will also manage endpoint security, oversee antivirus tools, and ensure BitLocker compliance across the organization's IT assets while maintaining an accurate inventory of all devices. The selection process involves a telephonic interview followed by technical and managerial rounds.

Key Requirements

Minimum 1 to 2 years of professional experience in desktop or technical support roles. Proficiency in Windows operating system installation, configuration, and troubleshooting. Hands-on experience with desktop and laptop hardware maintenance and upgrades. Ability to install, configure, and troubleshoot software applications such as MS Outlook. Strong understanding of network device support including VPN and connectivity issues. Knowledge of LAN/WAN connectivity and basic router or switch troubleshooting. Experience in managing endpoint security and antivirus software deployments. Familiarity with maintaining BitLocker compliance and data security protocols. Competency in Active Directory tasks including user management and group policies. Excellent communication skills for providing high-quality remote and on-site support.
