MID-CAREER FORTINET RESOURCE @ AWAN DISTRIBUTION
Awan Distribution is seeking a skilled Mid-Career Fortinet Resource to join their team in Karachi, Pakistan. This on-site role focuses on providing L1/L2 technical support and implementation services for various Fortinet security solutions within enterprise or service provider environments. The ideal candidate must possess 2-3 years of practical experience specifically utilizing Fortinet security products, with a strong emphasis on managing and troubleshooting FortiGate Firewalls.
Key responsibilities include managing firewall policies, performing firmware upgrades, handling configuration changes, and resolving connectivity issues. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in configuring Site-to-Site & Remote Access VPNs (IPsec/SSL), utilizing UTM features such as IPS, Antivirus, and Application Control, and working with FortiAnalyzer and FortiManager. A solid foundational knowledge of networking, including TCP/IP, OSI Model, VLANs, Routing, and Switching, is essential for success in this role.
A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field is required, and preferred certifications include Fortinet NSE 4, NSE 5/6, or CCNA. Beyond technical aptitude, the role demands strong communication and customer-handling skills, the ability to work independently or collaboratively, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and incident resolution processes.

Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Computer Engineering, Telecom, or a related field.
2–3 years of experience working with Fortinet security products.
Hands-on exposure in L1 & L2 support, troubleshooting, and implementations.
Strong hands-on experience with FortiGate Firewalls.
Good understanding and configuration experience of Firewall Policies & NAT.
Experience with FortiAnalyzer and FortiManager (basic to intermediate level).
Solid networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, OSI Model, VLANs, Routing, and Switching.
Ability to analyze logs, troubleshoot security incidents, and resolve connectivity issues.
Strong communication and customer-handling skills.
Willingness to work in support rotations if required.
