Aquis Search is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join a rapidly growing Dubai-based startup on a full-time, remote basis. This role is critical for establishing and scaling the company's foundational data architecture. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining robust data infrastructure entirely from scratch, ensuring high performance and reliability across all data operations.
The role involves designing and developing highly scalable data pipelines and systems to support various data-driven solutions across the organization. You will be expected to optimize and manage complex ETL processes and cloud-based data workflows efficiently. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to drive innovation and ensure data integrity. Experience in specialized industries such as Financial Services, FinTech, Crypto, or High-Frequency Trading (HFT) is highly desirable, reflecting the ambitious and technical environment of the client.

Key Requirements
2-6 years of professional experience specifically as a Data Engineer.
Proven ability to build and maintain robust data infrastructure from scratch.
Expertise in designing and developing scalable data pipelines and systems.
Strong proficiency in programming languages, specifically Python.
Extensive hands-on experience with distributed computing frameworks like Apache Spark.
Deep knowledge of ETL processes and workflow management optimization.
Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Product, Analytics).
Experience supporting data-driven solutions across the business.
Preferred industry background in Financial Services, FinTech, Cryptocurrency, or High-Frequency Trading (HFT).
