AZURE DATA ENGINEER, FINANCIAL SERVICES (SENIOR) @ ALLTECH CONSULTING INC.
We are seeking a senior Azure Data Engineer to join our team and support a mission-critical financial data platform. This is a long-term contract position requiring 4 days onsite per week in Hamilton Township, NJ. The primary focus of this role is to architect, build, and maintain highly secure, scalable, and audit-ready data pipelines utilizing core Azure technologies.
Key responsibilities involve the development of robust ETL/ELT processes using Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory (ADF), Python, SQL, and Spark. The successful candidate will ensure stringent data accuracy, reconciliation, and compliance within a highly regulated financial environment. This role is crucial for supporting financial reporting, fee processing, and advanced analytics initiatives. Candidates must also focus on performance optimization, monitoring strategies, and cost control across the data infrastructure. Only NJ-based consultants who are H1B eligible are being considered for this specific role.
Key Requirements
Minimum 12 years of professional experience in data engineering, with a strong preference for candidates from the financial services sector.
Exceptional hands-on proficiency with Azure Databricks and Azure Data Factory (ADF).
Expertise in developing ETL/ELT solutions using Python, SQL, and Spark.
Proven experience implementing and working with Delta Lake architectures.
Ability to build and maintain secure, scalable, and audit-ready enterprise-scale data pipelines.
Strong understanding of financial data principles, compliance, and regulatory controls.
Experience ensuring data accuracy, quality control, and reconciliation in regulated environments.
Must have practical experience utilizing Databricks Genie, AI-enabled analytics, or Power BI.
Background in wealth management, banking, or asset management is highly desirable.
Must be a US-based consultant and possess H1B visa eligibility for this contract role.
