Albesol Inc. is growing its electrical manufacturing division in Canada and is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer specializing in the design and manufacturing of LV electrical switchboards and switchgear assemblies. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer with strong knowledge of enclosure design, sheet metal fabrication, and CSA/UL compliance requirements. You will be responsible for the mechanical design of low-voltage switchboards and distribution panels, including enclosures, internal layouts, busbar supports, and structural components. The position involves preparing fabrication drawings and 3D models while collaborating with electrical engineers and production teams to ensure high-quality output. As a part of the team, you will ensure compliance with CSA, UL, and applicable Canadian standards while providing technical support during the manufacturing and assembly phases. The role also requires optimizing designs for manufacturability and cost efficiency to support the company's growth in the industrial and infrastructure sectors. Key Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
3–7 years of experience in electrical switchboard/switchgear manufacturing
Strong knowledge of sheet metal design and fabrication processes
Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar CAD software
Understanding of CSA and UL certification requirements
Experience working in a Canadian manufacturing environment
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to design enclosures, internal layouts, and busbar supports
Preparation of detailed fabrication drawings and 3D models
Experience providing technical support during manufacturing and assembly
