SENIOR DATA ENGINEER @ ACR TECHNOLOGY
We are seeking a highly experienced, hands-on Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and scale modern data platforms. The role is critical for supporting enterprise analytics, business intelligence, and healthcare data integrations within real-world production environments. You will be responsible for leading the migration and modernization of on-premises SQL Server workloads to advanced cloud environments such as Azure, Databricks, and Snowflake. This position focuses heavily on scalable data architecture and ensuring data quality across diverse platforms.
The ideal candidate will architect and optimize data warehouses, data marts, and lakehouse architectures while working closely with healthcare data systems including EHR, HL7, and FHIR. You will develop complex integrations using REST APIs, CDC, and event-driven architectures. Collaboration is key, as you will work with BI, ML, and backend teams to deliver high-performance datasets. Additionally, you will establish monitoring, alerting, and CI/CD pipelines to ensure robust and secure data operations compliant with HIPAA and SOC2 standards. This role requires a strong understanding of dimensional modeling and performance tuning to deliver reliable analytics solutions.

Key Requirements
Advanced proficiency in SQL including T-SQL, query optimization, and performance tuning.
Extensive experience with Azure cloud platforms such as ADF, Synapse, and Azure SQL.
Hands-on experience building and optimizing data architectures in Databricks and Snowflake.
Strong programming skills in Python (PySpark) and Scala for data processing.
Proven track record of designing and maintaining scalable ETL/ELT pipelines.
Familiarity with healthcare data systems and standards such as HL7, FHIR, and HIPAA compliance.
Expertise in dimensional modeling including star and snowflake schemas.
Experience implementing batch and streaming pipelines using Spark and Kafka.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git, and automation frameworks for data engineering.
Ability to build integrations using REST APIs, CDC, and event-driven architectures.
